Yin Yoga is a slower paced, deep stretch practice that combines floor poses with mindful meditation, to open the body and calm the mind. In Yin Yoga poses are held for longer periods of time in order to go beyond the muscular layer and access the deeper structural layer of the body which are the bones, joints, tendons, ligaments and connective tissue. By placing the Yin tissue under a controlled amount of duress, Yin Yoga provides you with a greater freedom of movement and an overall sense of ease.
